The British Council is the UK's international organization for cultural relations and educational opportunities. W e create opportunities internationally and build trust between the UK and countries around the world.
The British Council's first office in Morocco opened in 1960 in Rabat. In 2002, we opened our second education center in Casablanca.
We work in four key areas: English, Arts, Education and Society, with a focus on young people and the themes of 'employability' and 'voice'. We aim to support young people in their education and in achieving the skills necessary for a future career that will give them a “voice” in society.
- English: we work with universities and partners to provide continuing professional education for students and teachers across Morocco
- Arts: we showcase contemporary works from the UK and develop skills for the creative sector
- Education: we build links between the UK and Morocco's higher education sector, including university partnerships and the internationalization of higher education
- Society: we help Moroccan women and young people gain the skills and confidence to speak up and be heard.
